Kingston United Believes in Girls and Women
We believe every girl deserves the chance to discover her strength, her confidence, and her voice through sport. Whether it’s soccer or any other game she chooses, the evidence is clear: girls who play are healthier, more resilient, and more connected to their communities.
Studies show that girls who participate in sport are more likely to stay active for life, achieve higher academic performance, and develop leadership skills that carry far beyond the field. Sport builds friendships, reduces stress, and fosters self-esteem in ways that few other activities can match.
At Kingston United, we’re committed to creating opportunities for girls at every age and level — from their very first kick of the ball to the challenges of competitive play. And while soccer is at our core, we champion all pathways that keep girls engaged, moving, and thriving. Because when girls play, everyone wins.

Kingston United is dedicated to balancing social media
Equal Stories, Equal Spotlight
At Kingston United, we believe that representation matters. On our social platforms, we’re committed to featuring women and girls with the same visibility as men and boys. When our players, families, and community see women celebrated as athletes, leaders, and role models, it strengthens the message that soccer is for everyone. Equal coverage isn’t just about fairness — it’s about shaping culture. Social media is the lens through which so many of us view sport today, and if that lens leaves women out of focus, the entire picture of the game is incomplete.
Why It Matters
Research shows that when women’s sports receive media attention, participation rates rise, sponsorships grow, and communities become more engaged. Girls who see themselves represented are more likely to stay in the game, develop confidence, and carry the benefits of sport — teamwork, leadership, resilience — into every part of their lives. For Kingston United, this isn’t a side note; it’s central to who we are. By giving equal spotlight to women and girls across Instagram, Facebook, and beyond, we’re not only showcasing the talent on our fields today but also investing in the future of soccer in our community. Because when everyone is visible, everyone belongs.

we don't just talk about , we do it.

Kingston United believes that when like minds and spirits come together something amazing happens.
One of the ways Kingston United turns belief into action is through our Girls’ Day programming, held four times each year. These events are designed to bring girls together across all ages, skill levels, and even sports. You don’t need to be a Kingston United player to join — Girls’ Day is open to anyone who wants to connect, play, and discover the joy of being active in a supportive environment. It’s a space built for friendship, for trying new things, and for showing every girl that her place in sport is not just welcome but celebrated.
Led by Andrea Austen for Women, For Girls
Girls’ Day was founded by Andrea Austen, whose vision and leadership continue to guide the program and the broader representation of girls across the club. Under her direction, these events do more than put on games — they create opportunities for mentorship, inspiration, and community. By making sport accessible and fun, Girls’ Day plants the seeds of confidence that grow far beyond the field. It’s a living example of how Kingston United is building pathways not just for our players, but for every girl in our community who deserves to see herself in sport.

we don't just talk , we connect
It doesn't take a village, it takes a community.
At Kingston United, we know that raising strong athletes doesn’t just take a village — it takes a community. The journey of a girl in sport is shaped not only by coaches and teammates, but also by the broader network of organizations, mentors, and leaders who stand alongside her. That’s why we work hand in hand with groups that are female-focused, like the Association of Women Entrepreneurs (AWE), to create pathways that go far beyond the soccer field. Together, we’re proving that a life in sport isn’t separate from a life in leadership — it’s the foundation of it.
Beyond the Game
When girls experience the discipline, teamwork, and confidence that soccer provides, they carry those lessons into every space they enter. Whether it’s stepping up as captains on the pitch or stepping into boardrooms, classrooms, and businesses, the skills are the same — vision, resilience, and the ability to bring people together. By partnering with community organizations that champion women, Kingston United is showing that soccer isn’t just about winning games. It’s about preparing girls for a lifetime of leadership, collaboration, and success in whatever field they choose.
If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far , go together.
